Roxanne Marie Casterline (nee Atchison) is a 3rd generation Northville resident, born to Dr. Russell and Ruth Mary (nee Baldwin) Atchison. She was united in marriage to Ray "Butch" Casterline on August 10, 1968. Roxanne graduated from Northville High School in 1966 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Education from Eastern Michigan University in 1970. Following graduation she worked for the Headstart Program for the Northville Public Schools. Then chose to teach at an accredited Northville Montessori Center. After her career at Northville Montessori she became a tutor for Orton Gillingham through the Michigan Dyslexia Institute. Her most important role in life was raising her 4 incredible daughters; Courtney, Kelly, Lindsey, and Whitney.
Roxanne has been a very active member of the Northville community. In the 1980's and 1990's she was a member of the Northville Action Council, a bridging organization between the school and community for substance abuse education and prevention, which included the Red Ribbon Campaign in downtown Northville. Roxanne was an integral part of bringing programs to benefit the Northville youth; she began movies under the stars, built an ice skating rink at Ford Field, and marketed student craft day in the downtown district during the summer. She is a life member Northville Mother's Club and Northville Women's Club, she is a member of Northville VFW Auxiliary Post 4012, and a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church.
Roxanne began working at Casterline Funeral Home in 2004 after her husband passed away suddenly. You may see her working visitation at the funeral home or around town with one of her nine grandchildren that she loves spending time with in downtown Northville.
Courtney Casterline-Ross is a 4th generation funeral director. She is a 1991 graduate of Northville High School and a 1995 of Madonna University. She began working at the funeral home just out of college and decided to get a degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University where she graduated with honors. Courtney became a licensed funeral director in 1999 and worked closely with her father, Ray "Butch" Casterline II, until his death in 2004. Courtney finds working at Casterline Funeral Home to be very rewarding. She believes in making the services as easy as possible for the families they serve.
Courtney married Mihailo "Mike" Stevanovic in 2013 and they live in the home they built in South Lyon. Courtney has 4 boys that keep her busy; Gavin who was born in 2000, Caden born in 2002, Finnegan born in 2004, and Cedomir Deklan born in 2010. She loves spending time at home with her family, her boys make her laugh on a daily basis. Courtney adores her Golden Retriever, Zeke, her rescued Lab mix, Zooey, and her newest addition a Golden Retriever, Zayne. She enjoys taking her dogs for walks and daily yoga for relaxation.
Lindsey Casterline-Dogonski is a 4th generation funeral director. She is a 1995 graduate of Northville High School and a 1999 graduate of Bowling Green State University where she played golf for all four years. She began working at the funeral home while home from college in the summers; working alongside her father and knowing what an impact he had on families guided her to go to mortuary school. Lindsey graduated in 2000 from Wayne State University College of Mortuary School with honors and became a licensed funeral director in 2001. She learned from her father to be compassionate, caring, and attentive to each individual family. Lindsey is here to help families navigate through a very difficult time.
Lindsey married Brian Dogonski in 2000. Brian is a 1994 graduate of Northville High School and began his career with the City of Northville Police Department in 2006. They lived in South Lyon from 2007 until 2020 in the same subdivision as Courtney and her family. In 2020 they decided to move back to Northville. In 2014 their only child Lucy was born. Lucy has brought laughter and more love into their family. Lindsey, Brian, and Lucy love playing games, barbie, building legos and playing three marker challenge. They also like to spend time outdoors jumping in leaves, building snowmen, riding bikes and swimming. Lindsey has been teaching Lucy how to golf in the backyard since she was 4.
Lindsey is dedicated to her community. She began calling BINGO at Allen Terrace in 2000. She followed in her fathers footsteps and became a member of the Northville Kiwanis Club in 2000 as well. In 2013, Lindsey became one of the founding board members of KIDSgala, a David C. McKnight Foundation, a non-profit that provides life celebrations to children who have or have had a life altering event. She served KIDSgala for 4 years and in met some incredible people. Also in 2013, she became a member of the Northville Rotary Club. Through Rotary she has spent many hours volunteering to help her community. She helped build 6 Little Free Libraries throughout the Northville Community, has served on the Northville Rotary Foundation Board since 2015, and has enjoyed helping with Rotary's main fundraising event, Tour de Ville. In 2019, Lindsey was given the prestigious John Genitti Citizen of the Year Award from the Northville Chamber of Commerce.
Kyle was raised in Bay City, Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Political Science and History in 1989. He subsequently earned his Master’s degree in Management from Troy University with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Behavior.
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1985 and then after graduating from the University of Michigan, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and assigned as a Logistics Officer. He has served around the world and has participated in numerous operations including: Operation Fiery Vigil in the Republic of the Philippines; Joint Guardian as the first U.S. peacekeepers into Kosovo; Avid Response providing disaster relief following an earthquake in Turkey; Operation IRAQI FREEDOM in Iraq; and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM in Afghanistan.
In 2016 Kyle retired from the Marine Corps at the rank of Colonel. Since retirement, Kyle has spent time in retail management and providing Supplemental Insurance to small businesses with AFLAC. In 2021, Kyle found his calling by
supporting individuals in pre-planning their funeral arrangements and joined the Casterline Funeral Home team.
Kyle currently resides in Farmington Hills with his precious dog Hobbes, a Great Pyrenees. He has two adult children, Megan a technical writer for Lockheed-Martin in Marietta, GA and Nathan a civil engineer in Virginia Beach, VA. Kyle loves the outdoors, staying active and participating in local activities. He is a season ticket holder for U of M Football and Tiger's Baseball. Kyle looks forward to helping families.
