Cynthia A. Pinion

Age 71, of Wayne, formerly of Westland, passed away March 31, 2023. Cynthia was born on March 25, 1952; daughter of Arlene Atchison. Born and raised in Northville she attended Northville Schools.  Cindy was united in marriage to John Pinion on October 7, 1972, they spent 49 loving years together until his death on December 28, 2021.

Cindy worked as a housekeeper for over 30 years.  She began her career at the Holiday Inn and later transitioned to nursing homes.  She was an incredibly hard worker and a dedicated employee.

Cindy raised her family in Southfield and was a wonderful wife and mother.  Devoted to her family, she was always there for her children and supported them in all their endeavors.  Cindy adored and spoiled her grandchildren and great grandchildren by showering them with her love.  She kept her mind sharp with jigsaw puzzles and tended to her creative side by completing paint by numbers on canvas.  Her favorite color was turquoise blue.  Cindy enjoyed listening to Barry Manilow.  She loved springtime and looked forward to when her favorite flowers, tulips and daisies would bloom. Cindy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be missed by all who loved her.

Cindy is survived by her loving daughter, Bobbie J. Pinion; her daughter-in-law, Debra Pinion; her brother, Dwight Carey; her grandchildren, Rebecca Leschinski, Ashley Pinion, Shelby Angilley, Nicholas Angilley, Amber (Lowell Ulshafer) Pinion, and Nicole Pinion; and her great grandchildren, Dawn Leschinski and Wyatt Leschinski.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her son Troy Pinion.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Rural Hill Cemetery, 100 Rural Hill Drive, Northville.
