Virginia A. Guleff

Age 82, a longtime resident of Plymouth, passed away on January 2, 2021. She was born on February 10, 1938; daughter of Blase and Agnes (nee Tondra) Sparma. Virginia was born and raised in Massillon, Ohio. She graduated from Washington High School, class of 1955. After graduation she attended Kent State University. Virginia was a devout catholic who was dedicated to God and her faith. She was a member of St. Kenneth Catholic Church in Plymouth. Virginia worked as an office manager with Plymouth Carpet for almost 30 years; she retired in 2003.

First and foremost, Virginia was a wonderful mother, devoting all her love and care to her children. She adored the time she spent with her grandchildren, just being with them made her happy. Virginia bonded with her grandchildren when she taught them how to bake cookies. Creative and talented, Virginia enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, and quilting. She devoted countless hours sewing items for various charities. She was an avid reader who liked reading mystery novels. Virginia was always there when someone needed her. She was a supportive, loving, and kind mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Virginia is survived by her children, Mark (Susan) Guleff, Melissa Guleff-Eggenberger, and Mindy Guleff; her daughter-in-law Ginna Guleff; her sister Sandy Breehl; and her grandchildren, Meagan Eggenberger, Erica Eggenberger, Sasha Guleff, Izabella Guleff, Olivia Guleff, and Harley Wilt. She is also loved by many nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her son Michael Guleff, her brother Joe Sparma, and her brother-in-law Ed Breehl.

A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at a later date which will be updated once confirmed. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Massillon, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Vista Maria , 20651 Warren Street, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127.
