Velma L. Dinser
Age 90, of Northville, formerly of St. Petersburg Beach, Florida and Grosse Ile, Michigan, passed away February 9, 2020. She was born August 9, 1929 in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; daughter of Darl and Dorothy (nee Williams) Roberts. She attended Elizabeth High School in Elizabeth, PA and graduated from Pittsburg Academy. Velma was united in marriage to Leonard J. Dinser on March 19, 1971; they spent 48 loving years together as husband and wife.
Velma worked as a clerk for Amoco in Taylor, Michigan for 37 years, retiring in 1991. An animal lover, she would do anything for animals. Velma adored her cats and treated them like children. She liked birds and made sure the wildlife in her yard was well fed. Velma enjoyed going out to eat with her husband, one of her favorite restaurants was Olive Garden. Despite the health obstacles she faced, Velma was a fighter and very tough. She loved her family dearly and cherished the time they spent visiting together.
Velma is survived by her beloved husband, Leonard J. Dinser; her sister, Ruth Lohr; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Darl Roberts, Jr.
Private family services will be held.
