Tj Flannery

TJ Flannery, age 38, lifelong resident of New Hudson, passed away September 9, 2020. He was born on March 26, 1982 in Garden City, Michigan; son of James D. Flannery and Jodie M. Dempsey (nee Gatteri).

TJ attended South Lyon High School.  He worked as a finish trim carpenter for residential new home builds.  He was excellent at his job and took great pride in his work.

TJ enjoyed being outside racing his RC cars around, flying drones, and driving his side by side through New Hudson.  He also enjoyed riding dirt bikes.  TJ had a family of Sand Hill Cranes that would visit him daily to be fed their preferred snack of Fruit Loops.  Although he was a picky eater, TJ loved Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.  He liked the thrill of the highest roller coasters at Cedar Point and would ride them again and again.  TJ adored his dog Zeus who was a faithful companion for many years.  He cherished the time he spent with family and friends, especially around the bonfire in the backyard and lunches with his mom and two aunts.  TJ was a great guy and was loved by everyone who knew him.

TJ is survived by his loving parents, Jodie (Tim) Dempsey and Jim (Vilynn Lipscomb) Flannery; his brothers, Chad Flannery and Jimmy Flannery; his grandmothers, Margaret “Cookie” Gatteri and Alice “Nana” Flannery; his aunts and uncles, Gayle “Aunt Baby” Gatteri, Sandra Plave, Jim (Shirley) Gatteri, Dale (Debbie) Flannery, Rick Flannery, Todd (Shari) Flannery, and Lynda Flannery; many cousins; and N.H.P, which is a group of friends from New Hudson.

Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville.  A private family service will be held.
