Theresa M. Wozniak Jenkins

Theresa Marie Wozniak Jenkins came to the end of her life, at the age of 40, on March 25, 2022. Theresa was a Michigan State University graduate, (Go Green, Go White) where she followed her childhood dream of becoming a Family Law Attorney and played polo. After graduation, Theresa packed up and moved to South Carolina for a fresh start. There she was able to share her love of animals by managing a string of polo ponies on one of South Carolina’s peaceful plantations. She also continued her dream of becoming an attorney by attending Charleston School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctor in 2009. Eventually, Theresa started her own law firm and was voted Charleston’s Best Family Law Attorney for multiple years! While in Charleston, she met the love of her life, Brian Jenkins, and together they had Arthur “AJ” Jenkins (10) and Analise (Peanut) Jenkins (8).

The Jenkins moved back to Michigan in 2017, where they built their dream hobby farm in Milford. Theresa loved a simpler life. She filled her farm with horses, chickens, a dog, cats, and even some peacocks. She enjoyed hiking on her property, hunting for wild mushrooms, rocks, and crystals. Theresa found it healing to be one with nature.

Theresa was an exceptional cook and baker, who never needed a recipe! Some of her favorites to make were banana bread, zucchini bread, golumpki (cabbage rolls), and left-over Thanksgiving egg rolls. More than anything, Theresa was a wonderful spirit who would do all that she could for her family, friends, or even a stranger in need. With all her might and determination, she fought for her son AJ through different Autism avenues and recently was a guest speaker at the Autism Law Summit in Columbia, SC.

Theresa was a vibrant, loyal, and generous wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She fiercely loved her family, friends, and animals. Theresa will be missed by everyone whose lives she has ever touched.
