Theresa A. Haase

Age 89, of Northville and Traverse City, passed away on December 26, 2019.  She was born on July 14, 1930 in Grand Rapids, Michigan; daughter of Charles and Agnes (nee Parbel) Moran. She graduated from St. Paul’s Catholic School in Owasso and continued her education earning a registered nurse certification through St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing.  Theresa was united in marriage to Lawrence Haase on June 15, 1956; they spent 57 loving years together until his death on September 19, 2013.

Theresa was a devoted homemaker; she took wonderful care of her family.  She was very handy around their home in Dearborn where she raised 7 children.  After her children were grown, Theresa worked for Jacobsen’s Store for the Home in Dearborn until she retired.

Theresa was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Northville.  She enjoyed sewing.  Theresa liked shopping for clothing and hunting for a good bargain.  She loved her family and cherished the time they spent together at their summer home in Traverse City and winter home in Vero Beach, Florida.

Theresa is survived by her loving children, Bridget (John) Paff, Tracey Wright, Alison (Richard) Dyer, Jeffrey Haase, Brent (Kathy) Haase, Gretchen (Kevin) Bruce, and Luke Haase; 18 grandchildren; and her brother-in-law, Robert Williams.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sisters Julie Carmody and Katherine Williams.

Private family services were held.  She was laid to rest next to her husband at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.
