Terry L. Edwards
Age 66, longtime resident of Northville, passed away October 1, 2022. He was born on May 18, 1956 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a Vietnam-era veteran and proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 --1980.
Terry worked as a landscaper with Highland Lakes Condominium Association in Northville for more than 33 years. He was a key employee, a hard-worker and often the go-to person when special assistance was needed.
He was a valued member of the American Legion Post 147 in Northville for more than 25 years. He was very active with the post and generously gave his time to help others. He served as Sergeant of Arms and was a member of the Executive Committee for more than 20 years, serving longer than anyone in the post’s history.
Terry was very proud of his military service and was a strong supporter of other veterans and veteran causes. He was well regarded in the community by those who knew him, and he had many friends. Terry was also very supportive of downtown Northville. He enjoyed dining out and was always happy to share a restaurant recommendation. Some of his favorite places in town were New Bangkok, Pizza Cutter, and the Center Street Grille.
Terry was incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects and an avid reader. He had an extensive library and was fond of Louis L’Amour novels. Terry was very likable, gentle, and quiet; he was always in good cheer and never left without saying goodbye. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a unique laugh that was frequently heard. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Terry is survived by his son Robert Terry Edwards; his brother Richard Reams; and many friends.
