Tatiana “Tanya” Artamonoff Vuichard

Age 59, of Commerce Township, formerly of Northville, passed away on May 17, 2021. She was born June 18, 1961 in Ventnor, New Jersey; daughter of Serge and Pauline (nee Misin) Artamonoff.  Tanya moved to Northville in 1976 from New Jersey.  She graduated from Northville High School; Class of 1979.

Tanya worked 21 years in the Novi Community School District in various capacities, most recently Administrative Assistant in the Community Education Department.  Her numerous job duties included Test Out, K-8 Summer School and Central Enrollment as well as being the lead for several Novi Youth Assistance community service projects.  She was Vice President of NESPA Union for many years and recently took on the responsibility of President.  She was always willing to support the District in any way and was often referred to as the “Face of Novi”.  Tanya never met a stranger and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room.  In 2017, she was awarded the MACAE Support Person of the Year.  She loved her job and being part of the team, Novi was lucky to have her.

Tanya prided herself a “Jersey Girl”; she loved tanning, shopping, wearing cheetah print, getting her nails done, wearing high heels, and pampering herself.  She was happiest outside in the sunshine and hot weather, laying out in the backyard or being in the swimming pool. Tanya enjoyed weekend trips to Grand Haven during the summer.  She loved spoiling her family, especially during the holidays, always making sure they had Easter baskets, Christmas stockings, and lots of gifts from Santa.  She was a firm believer in the spirit of Christmas and giving back which she did though Shop-with-a-Cop and Adopt-a-Family.  She was genuine, loving, and kind; her positive energy brightened every room she walked into.  Tanya was a wonderful caregiver and persistent in all aspects of her life.  Her number one priority was her family.  She loved spending time with them, especially family dinners on Sunday.  Tanya was a passionate sports mom; she was there to support her children in all their extracurricular activities throughout the years and later joined them for tailgates at MSU.  Tanya was an amazing mother and adored her granddaughter who lovingly called her Gigi.  She was also a second mom to many, as well as a pet mom to her cat Chloe.  She always put her children first and could sense when they needed her.  She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Tanya is survived by her loving children, Vinny (Stephanie) Vuichard and Alexandria Vuichard; her granddaughter, Olivia Vuichard; her sister Lisa Jeziorski; her brother-in-law, Steven (Helen) Vuichard; her nephews, Jason Jeziorski, Phillip (Jacqueline) DeConick, Victor DeConick, and Bronco Vuichard.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Visitation will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from Noon until 6:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  While there is a maximum number of people allowed in the funeral home, there will be tents with tables and chairs for those who want to stay and show their continued support to the family next door on the green space at the American Legion.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Park, 35667 8 Mile Road, Livonia.  Please line your car up inside the gates of the cemetery prior to 2:30 p.m.
