Stacy M. Thiel, age 44 of South Lyon, passed away on May 14, 2024 after a courageous fight against cancer. She was born on July 9, 1979 in Canton, Michigan; daughter of Steve and Peggy (Murawski) White. Stacy was united in marriage to Thomas Thiel on March 29, 2014; spending over 10 years dedicated to each other and their family.
Stacy graduated from Ladywood High School, class of 1997. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. Continuing her education at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, she earned her Juris Doctorate. Her intelligence and drive helped with advancements in school and her career. While attending law school, Stacy worked at Eagle Logistics. In 2012 she began working at Magno International and has had several roles with the company. Most recently she was as the Vice President of Administration, managing and reviewing all contracts and was the administrator of the benefit and incentive programs.
Stacy's affection for her children knew no bounds, and she relished every moment of motherhood. Whether engaged in craft sessions with her son and daughter or embarking on family trips to Disney World, she found pure happiness in their shared experiences. Even during beach vacations marked by stormy weather, Stacy's spirit remained undampened, her enjoyment undiminished. As a young girl, she gracefully danced through her clumsiness, and fond memories of family camping excursions around her July birthday filled her heart. These childhood adventures inspired her to invest in a travel trailer, eager to pass on her love for camping to her own children. A natural organizer and the boss of the family, Stacy effortlessly orchestrated countless birthday parties and holiday gatherings with her trademark creativity. Her genuine warmth fostered deep connections with friends, always accompanied by her infectious smile. Adventurous outings like kayaking and even skydiving in the rain with her husband added excitement to her life. Through it all, Stacy remained an extraordinary mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, embodying love and care in every role.
She is survived by her husband Tom; her children, William and Olivia; her parents, Steve and Peggy White, her siblings, Sara White, Ryan (Hayley) White, Seth (Jessica) White, Stefanie (Brandon Blair) White, and Samantha (Matthew) Mlostek; her in-laws, Jean and Jerry Gibbons; her brother and sister-in-laws, Kate (Sean) Hudson, Michael Gibbons, Eric (Shelby) Gibbons, Joseph (Mallory Kay) Gibbons, and Jenna Gibbons; and her nieces and nephews, Kaelyn, Jackson, Enzo, Lucas, Dean, Noah, Oliver, Lennon, Tripp, Josie, Palmer, Lia, Peyson, Lyla, Sadie, Whit, and Miles. Stacy's legacy is one of boundless love, touching the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
