Shirley B. Smith Mazur

Age 94, a lifelong resident of Northville, passed away on October 20, 2021. She was born on March 10, 1927 in her childhood home on Carpenter Street in Northville; daughter of Alexander and Ethel (née Fisher) Lyke.

Shirley graduated from Northville High School, class of 1945. She worked in the sales department at Dunning Dress in Plymouth for 20 years and then worked at Western Electric for almost 20 years as an assembly worker. Shirley was a past member of the Northville Eastern Star and the Northville Eagles Club. She loved her yearly trips up north to Empire to spend time with her sister on Lake Michigan. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with her friends and neighbors at Allen Terrace.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Cyndi (John) Sutton; her grandchildren, Michael (Kristen) Sutton, Brian (Lindsey) Sutton, Siobhan (Jeff) Jameson, Patrick (Lauren) Sutton, and Meaghan (Trevor) Bryant; and her great grandchildren, Connor, Grace, and Dylan Sutton; Braeden Sutton; Quinn and Avery Jameson; Nora and Molly Sutton; and Maggie and Jack Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jean Lyke Bogart.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 from 10am until 11am with the funeral service beginning at 11am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. She will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
