Sheri N. Silence-Pryde

Sheri Silence Pryde, age 53, of Milford, formerly of Hartland and Linden, passed away April 6, 2025. She was born on November 5, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Philip Silence and Judith (nee Douglas) Silence. She grew up in Royal Oak and proudly attended Dondero High School, class of 1990.

After graduating from high school, Sheri pursued her passion for beauty and style by attending cosmetology school, where she earned her State of Michigan Cosmetology License. She began her career at Fantastic Sams and later worked as a stylist at CJ Roberts, Pinnacle Pointe, and Bella Rae Salon. Most recently, she was part of the team at Fantastic Sams in Brighton. Well-liked by her colleagues, she formed many lasting friendships and cherished the time they spent together outside of work. Over the course of her 31-year career, Sheri built a devoted clientele who trusted her for her exceptional talent, especially in hair color. She had a true gift for making people feel beautiful, inside and out, and found great fulfillment in helping others feel their best.

Sheri had a deep appreciation for nature and loved spending time outdoors. She found peace walking along the shores of Lake Michigan, searching for shells, bird watching, or just surrounding herself with the sights and sounds of nature. One of her favorite pastimes was walking her beloved dog, Wrigley, a pit-terrier mix she rescued and adored. Committed to fitness and staying active, Sheri often went to the gym after work to get in a workout or cardio session. She had a keen eye for fashion along with a true sense of style and was always up for a shopping trip.

Sheri was a devoted and loving mother who always put her daughter first, ensuring she was cared for and supported in every way. She cherished time with her family, whether celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying each other’s company. Every moment shared with loved ones was meaningful to her, and she held those times close to her heart. Sheri also treasured road trips with her daughter to visit her sister and nephews in Ohio, time spent talking and laughing along the way. She will be remembered for the love she so freely gave and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Sheri is survived by her loving daughter, Grace Pryde; her mother Judith Silence; her sisters, Charlene (Steve) Badenhop and Kristine Silence; her nephew and godson, Spencer Badenhop; her nephew, Preston Badenhop; her niece Cassidy McClellan; her aunts, Ruth McClellan and Mary Bangert; and her beloved furry companion, Wrigley. She was preceded in death by her father.

Private family services were held.
