Sheila J. Thompson

Sheila J. Thompson, age 84, of Clinton Township, passed away June 30, 2023.  She was born on August 9, 1938 in Munising, Michigan; daughter of Edward and Mae (Mattson) Thompson.  She graduated from Pershing High School; Class of 1956. Sheila has been a resident of Clinton Township for over 30 years, she was previously of Madison Heights.

For over 38 years, Sheila worked as the Group Chief Operator with Michigan Bell. After she retired, Sheila began working in retail sales at Hudson’s department store and made the transition to Macys. She assisted shoppers in the women’s clothing and jewelry department for 28 years. Her work ethic was incredible.

Sheila enjoyed time on a bowling league with colleagues from Michigan Bell. She was always well dressed and had impeccable style. Sheila loved the beauty of flowers and was proud of her garden.

Sheila is survived by her son Kevin (Ellen) LaCombe; her grandchildren, BrieAnne LaCombe, Jessica LaCombe, Mark Hartman, and Maggie Koich; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Roberts, and her sisters Corrine and Sherrie.
