Sharon M. Olech

Sharon Marie Olech, age 59, of Northville, formerly of Livonia, passed away on November 28, 2023. She was born on December 22, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Norbert and Jenny (Bolak) Olech. She graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, class of 1981.

Sharon last worked as a bartender at Buddy’s Pizza in Livonia. Previously, she worked at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott where she was a bartender, serving drinks to the cruise ships and yachts that sailed out of Fort Lauderdale.

Sharon loved her dogs:  Sierra, Amos, and Duke. She was very devoted to her Catholic faith. Sharon loved shopping and inherited her love of shopping from her mother and grandmother. Sharon had an extensive collection of perfumes and enjoyed being able to splurge on expensive scents. Her signature scent was Viva La Juicy. She also is remembered for her vast collection of precious moment figurines and snowmen mementos. Sharon always made the holidays very special and fun. They gave her the opportunity to fill one of her other passions, cooking. Sharon was a loving mother and was extremely devoted to her daughter Lauren.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Lauren Sanchez; her brother, Steven (Stacy) Olech; her sisters-in-laws, Wanda Sanchez and Linda Sanchez; and her mother-in-law, Sandra Sanchez.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mark Sanchez.

Sharon will lie in state at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Dr, Northville on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 10:30 – 11:00, followed immediately by a mass at 11:00 a.m.  She will then be laid to rest at St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.
