Ronald K. Marshall Sr.
Age 67, longtime resident of Northville, passed away July 10, 2022. He was born on August 19, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan; son of Raymond and Jean (Martin) Marshall. He graduated from Melvindale High School; Class of 1972. Ronald was united in marriage to Debra M. Villarreal on November 24, 1972; they spent 49 years lovingly devoted to one another.
Ronald began working for Michcon Consolidated Gas Company just after graduation. He retired as a supervisor in 2003 after 30 years with the company.
Ronald enjoyed boating, water-skiing, and fishing. He spent time on Lake St. Clair, but his favorite place to go was Lake Missaukee in Lake City. A car enthusiast, Ronald restored antique muscle cars and motorcycles. His most prized restoration, a 1972 Dodge Challenger won 1st place at Autorama Detroit in 1994. He was an avid bowler, bowling several times a week in multiple leagues and with his wife just for fun. An amateur photographer, Ronald focused most on nature and landscapes for his subject. One of the most important things to Ronald was his family, he loved attending family
events and visiting with family in Pennsylvania. When his children were younger, he was incredibly supportive of their extracurricular activities and attended all their sporting events. Later, when he was adoringly referred to as “Papa”, he loved spending time up north with his grandchildren engaged in all his favorite lake activities. Ronald was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend; he will be missed by all
who loved him.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Marshall; his children, Kristie Marshall, Jennifer Marshall, and Ron (Kelly) Marshall Jr; his grandchildren, Alicia, Ronnie, Maria, Isabella, Abigail, and Nathan; his in-laws Tony and Mary Villarreal; his sister, Nancy (Doug Reuter) Marshall; his half siblings, Susan Cumming, Janine (David) VanReenen, and Paul Cumming; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Tony (Jocelyn) Villarreal, Tom (Darlene) Villarreal, Florence (Tony) Visintainer, Neil (Nancy) Villarreal, Laura (Chuck) DeBiasi, and Keith (Agnes) Villarreal; also loved by many nieces, nephews, and
cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his half siblings, Tim Cumming and Diana Cumming.
The Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.
