Robert Wayne Williams

Age 68, a lifelong resident of Plymouth, passed away September 29, 2022. He was born on September 29, 1954 in Washington Court House, Ohio; son of Robert E. and Claribel (Olney) Williams. He attended Plymouth High School in Plymouth, Michigan.  Wayne was united in marriage to Jeanne Holland on September 29, 1981; they were devoted to each other for 41 years.

Wayne worked as a machine repairman and millwright for many years. He was also a certified welder.  In May of 2022 he retired from DTE after 20 years with the company.  Wayne was a member of the Utility Workers Union of America, local 223.  He was incredibly mechanical and spent endless hours tinkering in the garage, working on cars, and overhauling motors.  Wayne was an avid hunter, mostly deer and small game.  His mom gave him his first Browning Shotgun as a young boy.  He loved spending time at his hunting camp near Hawks, Michigan.  Between hunting seasons, Wayne enjoyed fishing for walleye.  He also enjoyed riding his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.  Wayne was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend; he will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Williams; his children, Jeremy Williams, Rob (Amanda) Williams, and Amanda Williams; his grandchildren, Reise, Jeremy II, Kyson, Clara, and Trip; his siblings, David (Sheila) Williams, Rhonda (Tom) Gronski, and Brian Williams; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister Rebecca Jones.

The visitation will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. He will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
