Robert P. Robeson Jr.

August 31, 1946 — March 3, 2023

Robert P. Robeson, Jr., age 76, of West Bloomfield, formerly of Novi and Ann Arbor, passed away March 3, 2023.  He was born on August 31, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio; son of Robert P. and Helen L. (Braunlin) Robeson, Sr.

Bob graduated from New Haven High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Class of 1964.  Following high school, he attended Indiana University where he completed his undergraduate studies and earned a master’s degree in business finance.  While at university, he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity where he made lifelong friendships.  He also earned is CPA licensure.  Bob was united in marriage to Malgorzata “Margaret” Lewandowska on December 13, 2008 and they spent 14 years devoted to one another.

Bob worked for Numatics Incorporated in Highland for over 25 years achieving the title of CFO, a position he held from 1988-2008.  Shortly after the company sold, he took a position as the CFO of Roura Material Handlings in Clinton Township until he retired a few years later due to health reasons.

Bob was generous with his time and volunteered for many projects and causes in the metro area.  He was very intelligent and could strike up a conversation with anyone.  Bob was a mentor to many throughout the years and had a positive impact on many people’s lives.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Northville.   Incredibly social, he enjoyed hosting and entertaining friends and family at his home.  He also enjoyed gourmet food and a fine dining experience.  Bob was a car guy; he attended many auto and car shows over the years and had dreamed of owning a Corvette one day.   He was a world traveler and visited many locations outside of the U.S., among his favorite places was Europe.  Bob was an avid golfer and played as often as he could.  He could be found most weekends at his favorite courses in the area, Northville Hills, Oakland Hills, or Huron Hills.  Each year he took a golf trip with his fraternity brothers from his days at Indiana University.  Bob’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, he especially adored his grandchildren.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; he will be missed by all who loved him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Robeson; his children, Ramie (John) Cooney and Robert P. (Jennifer) Robeson, III; his stepchildren, Karina (Gary) King and Lukasz (Aleksandra) Kasula; his grandchildren, Courtney “Coco”, Caitrin, Robie, Ryan, Lukasz, and Katerina; and his sister, Pat (Mike) Clark.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Pam Robeson.

Private family services will be held.
