Robert Arden Maddock, age 86, of Northville, passed away November 16, 2022. He was born on March 3, 1936 in Preston, Ontario, Canada; son of Clifford and Margaret (Johnson) Maddock. Robert graduated from Sandwich Collegiate High School in Windsor, class of 1954. He had further education at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. He was united in marriage to Patricia on December 7, 1968, and was devoted to their love for over 53 years.
Bob retired in the late 1990’s from Ford Motor Company in Dearborn as a Cost Design Analyst Supervisor. One of his more notable jobs during his lifetime was teaching drafting classes at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. He was a faithful member of the Congregational Church of Birmingham. Active in the church, he sang in the choir for many years.
While living in Florida, Bob volunteered his time helping to fundraise for the American Cancer Society. Bob was also a very distinguished gentleman. He had a unique sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. One of his favorite places to be was on the water, including power boating on Lake St. Clair, fishing, and waterskiing at his cottage in Stoney Point, Ontario. Bob was a member of NOMADS and visited many fantastic destinations all over the world. Bob adored his grandchildren and cherished all the memories they made together. He was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia; loving father and preceded in death by Kevin, Keith, Jeff, Ken, and Chris; loving father of Linda (Perry) Brumm, Laurel (David) Frogner, and Matthew (Nancy); father-in-law of Vickie; adored grandfather of Rachel, Charlotte, Sarah, Erica, Madeline, Kristen, April, Michael, Jessica, Gail, Tyler, Tammy, Curt, Brian, Kyle, and his great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Margaret, and his brothers, William and Gordon.
Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 10am until Noon with a memorial service beginning at Noon. Rev. Ralph Brown with the Congregational Church of Birmingham will officiate the service.
