Robert G. Keller

March 19, 1952 — February 10, 2020

Robert G. Keller, age 68, lifelong resident of Northville, passed away February 10, 2021.  He was born on March 19, 1952 in Northville, Michigan; son of Royal “Fuzz” and Louise (nee Atchison) Keller.  Robert graduated from Northville High School; Class of 1970.

Robert worked for Northville Public Schools driving a school bus for many years.  He also worked for Kocian Excavating running a backhoe and other small equipment.

Robert was a member of the NRA and a deer hunter.  He was an avid sports fan, especially football and basketball.  Robert always cheered for U of M teams.  He loved auto racing and watching NASCAR.  He also liked to watch outdoor and hunting channels.  Robert was good with animals and had many pets throughout his life.  His most recent furry companion, Bright Eyes, was a feral cat he domesticated and brought into his home. Robert enjoyed nature and spending time at Maybury and Kensington.  He fed the birds in his yard and liked watching the deer walk through.  He was a devoted son and took wonderful care of his mother.  He was a friend to many and will be missed by those who loved him.

Robert is survived by his loving cousins Cynthia (John, Jr.) Pinion, Troy (Debbie) Pinion, Bobbie Pinion, and Hester Keller; and many close friends including, Douglas Reed, Brad Westfall, Bob Dresselhouse, and Kevin Meyers.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert will be laid to rest with his parents at Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.  A graveside service will be held March 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rural Hill Cemetery, 100 Rural Hill Drive, Northville.
