Robert B. Holloway
Age 82, of Milford previously of Northville, passed away October 5, 2021. He was born December 12, 1938 in Pontiac, Michigan; son of Robert J. and Bernadine J. (Dietrich) Holloway. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Anne Marie Kramer on April 22, 1967; devoted to each other for over 54 years.
Bob graduated from Pontiac High School, class of 1957. He continued his education at Eastern Michigan University where he played varsity football. While at EMU, Bob decided to serve his country in the United States Army. He enlisted in 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1964. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University in 1967. Bob began a career at Ford Motor Company in 1967 where he worked diligently for over 33 years until his retirement.
Bob was a dedicated and unconditional family man. He was extremely family oriented and supported his family in all their endeavors. He was proud of the children he raised and the grandchildren he adored. Football was an important part of Bob’s life; he was a player and a fan. His favorite professional team was the Detroit Lions, always hoping that this year…or the next was going to be the year for the Lions. After retirement Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, and relaxing with friends and family. He was a man of great integrity and honesty. Bob was a loyal and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Bob is survived by his wife Anne; his children, John Scott (Beth) Holloway, Kathleen (Joe Smotherman) Holloway Foland, Michelle (Christopher) Goode, and Robert “Bob” Holloway; and his grandchildren, Molly Holloway, Megan (David Covey) Foland, Emily Foland, Gabrielle Foland, Lillie Foland, Samuel Goode, Mary Goode, Ethan Holloway, Sophia Holloway, and Ava Holloway. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Holloway.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1pm until 3pm with a service beginning at 3pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Father James Livingston will officiate the service. Bob will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
