Renee M. Shawl

Renee M. Shawl, age 60, of Northville, passed away on May 17, 2019. She was born on October 23, 1958 in Northville, Michigan; daughter of Robert and Ruth (nee Schaarschmidt) Shawl. Renee graduated from Clarenceville High School; Class of 1976.

Renee worked as a telephone equipment installer and repair specialist with the United States Air Force.  Throughout the years she lived in many different states.  After being discharged from the military she remained in Alaska for several years where she flew in small planes as part of her job. Renee had a good life and lived well.  She was incredibly adventurous and loved being outdoors.  She was very athletic and enjoyed playing volleyball.

Renee is survived by her loving siblings, Christina (Lane) Ritter, Richard Shawl, Gerald (Rochelle) Shawl, Susan (Michel) deGeyter, Janice (George) Jeruzal, and John Shawl; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Shawl, and her sisters Mary Shawl and Judith Shawl.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Noon, with a time of gathering beginning at 11:30 a.m. at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 North Haggerty Road, Plymouth.
