Priscilla Paulen Frederick

Age 84, of Northville, passed away May 15, 2022. She was born in Petoskey, Michigan on May 22, 1937; daughter of Robert and Rachel (Minor) Williard. She graduated from Gaylord High School; class of 1955.  Priscilla was united in marriage to Roy Frederick in 1982; they were lovingly devoted to one another for 15 years until his death in 1997.

Priscilla continued her education at Henry Ford Community College then transferred to Eastern Michigan University where she graduated with a degree in finance. Years later she attended Schoolcraft College and earned a degree in fine arts. She worked in the accounts payable department at Howmet Corporate for years then worked as an accountant for several local businesses. Priscilla loved spending time in the garden. She was an outstanding artist and used her talent to teach others. Her focus was charcoal drawings; a favorite of the families was the Three Stooges drawing. Priscilla’s art was so intricate and immaculate that it was hard to tell her painting from an original. She was patriotic and proud of her son’s service. Priscilla was an intelligent, loving, and awesome mom.

She is survived by her son Rick (Claudia Gillenwater) Paulen; her sister Shirley Moorehead; and her dear friend Tabitha. She was preceded in death by her son Robert “Dr. Bob” Paulen, her husband, her parents, her brother Robert Williard Jr., and her sister Geraldine Crowder.

Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11am until noon with a Memorial Service beginning at noon at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  Pastor James N. McGuire with Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Novi will officiate the service.
