Pauline Shaw

November 21, 1928 — April 27, 2019

Pauline Shaw, age 90, a lifelong resident of Northville, passed away on April 27, 2019. She was born November 21, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Howard and Hashka (nee Soohocheff) Rodgers. Pauline was a 1945 graduate of Northville High School. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the State of Michigan for over 25 years. Pauline was united in marriage to Robert R. Shaw on June 19, 1965; devoted to each other for over 52 years until his death in 2017.

She loved to golf and enjoyed bowling. Pauline was an extensive traveler; one of her favorite places to visit was Isla Contadora, Panama. Her daughter Christy and family will be visiting Isla Contadora to honor both Pauline and Robert's wishes, scattering their ashes. She was adventurous and liked anything to do with water. Her favorite activities were swimming with dolphins, fishing, and seashell hunting. There was a lot of time spent with her family at her daughter’s cottage on Lake Huron. Pauline liked the thrill of going to the casino and playing the slot machines. She adored her two sheepdogs, Abagail and Punkin. Pauline was a very dedicated mother and a nurturing grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Christy Lemanski and her grandsons, Michael R. Lemanski, Joseph R. Lemanski, and Andrew D. Lemanski. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers Howard Rodgers and Clayton Rodgers.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Michigan Humane Society , 30300 Telegraph Road, Suite 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025.
