Pauline Artamonoff
Age 80, longtime resident of Northville, passed away March 4, 2020. She was born November 28, 1939 in Burgas, Bulgaria; daughter of Alexander and Eugenia Misin. She was united in marriage to Serge Artamonoff on February 3, 1957; they spent 63 loving years together as husband and wife.
Pauline emigrated to the United States from Austria in 1955 after WWII. She settled in South Jersey where she worked in a clothing factory making men’s suits. She retired from that job at age 40 when she moved to Northville with her husband in 1976. Pauline also worked as a banquet coordinator for several years at the Ramada Inn in Southfield and at Guernsey Farms Dairy in Northville.
Pauline was a member of Assumption of the Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church in Ferndale. She was a terrific cook and baker. Everything she made was from scratch, including traditional Russian dishes, tortes, and custards. Pauline would spend all day in the kitchen cooking for her family and friends. Her home was always happy and full of celebrations, she loved to entertain and have parties. She enjoyed travelling to the Caribbean, Siesta Key, Florida, and spending time up north. Her greatest joy in life was spoiling her grandchildren. Pauline loved spending time with them and catered to their every need. She was totally devoted to her family and took wonderful care of each of them.
Pauline is survived by her beloved husband, Serge Artamonoff; her daughters, Lisa Jeziorski and Tanya (Vincent) Vuichard; and her grandchildren, Jason Jeziorski, Vinny (Stephanie) Vuichard, and Alexandria Vuichard. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
