Patti Ann Bowman

October 5, 1950 — February 4, 2024

Patti Ann Bowman, age 73, of Novi, formerly of Farmington Hills and Plymouth, passed away on February 4, 2024. She was born on October 5, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Lloyd and Betty (Bigelow) Morgan. She attended Cody High School in Detroit through her junior year before transferring to Farmington High School where she graduated in 1967.

Patti was currently working at NTH Consultants as a document controller where she had been a loyal employee for 35 years.  She was a member of the VFW Post 4012 Auxiliary in Northville.

Patti’s greatest joy in life came from her family.  She loved all the “babies” which included her grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who affectionately called her either “Homie G” or “Grantie Patti”.   More than anything else she loved her family just being together.  Patti hosted Christmas Eve each year and shared her love of Christmas by decorating and cooking a delicious meal.  Over the years, Patti was incredibly close to her sisters.  They spent childhood summers at Barron Lake in Niles, later returning with their own families as adults to swim, ski, and enjoy the sunshine.  She and her sisters also worked on a family genealogy project tracing their ancestors back to the first millennium.  Music was a large part of her life, she played guitar and loved listening to Ronnie Dove. She also liked to watch Fox News.  Patti cared deeply for those around her and was always willing to help and support anyone in need.  Outgoing and sometimes unfiltered, Patti inherited her great sense of humor from her dad and was always ready for a practical joke.  Patti was a beloved grandma, aunt, great aunt, and friend; she will be missed by all who loved her.

Patti is survived by her loving grandchildren, Jessica (Trevor Lacca) Bowman, Joseph Bowman, Amelia Bowman, and Ayden Longcore; her great grandchildren, Penelope and Theo “Tito”; her brother-in-law, Bob Eaves; her nephew, Skip (Shannon) Dietz; her niece, Christine Arnett; and many great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son James Bowman, Jr., her parents, her sisters Pamela Dietz and Penny Eaves, and her niece Jenny.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville.  Rev. Eric Stenson from Timothy Lutheran Church will officiate the service.  Patti will be laid to rest with her son at Oakwood Cemetery in Farmington.
