She was born on July 24, 1940 in Jackson, Michigan; daughter of James and Leona (Estey) Andrews. She attended Northville High School; Class of 1958. Naomi was united in marriage to Richard D. Blain on November 20, 1994; they spent 28 loving years devoted to one another.
Naomi was a homemaker and dedicated to her family. A wonderful cook, who collected recipes, she made sure there was a hot meal on the table each night. She kept her home very clean, neat, and tidy. Her yard was always meticulously cared for and manicured. Naomi always put her family first and cherished the time they spent together. She helped to raise her siblings and had a special relationship with her younger sister Mary. Over the years, she made sure she never missed a family gathering, holiday celebration, or reunion.
Naomi was a faithful disciple of God and a member and elder of Full Salvation Union in Northville. She instilled in her children integrity and honesty; and showed them the value of hard work. Naomi had an infectious laugh which was often heard around the bonfire that she enjoyed with a glass of wine with ice. In her younger years, she liked to ride bikes with her children and spent countless hours floating on Oxbow Lake, continuously working on her tan.
Later in life, she enjoyed travelling by RV to Blazing Star RV Resort in San Antonio, Texas for the winter with her husband Dick. Naomi adored her dog Sammy, a Pomeranian, whom she adopted as a stray. Her current furry companion was a Yorkie named Benji. Naomi was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be missed by all who loved her.
Naomi is survived by her husband Richard D. Blain; her sons, John (Laura) Hart and Richard (Trina) Allen; her step children; Colleen Bowker and Robb Blain; her grandchildren, Shelbee (Jacob) Kesler, Hunter Allen, Jonna Trabosh, Lorin Blain, Robby Blain, and Brian Johnson; her great grandchildren, Armee Kesler and Asa Morrison; and her siblings, Jim (Dolores) Andrews, Tom (Barbara) Andrews, David Andrews, John (Cindy) Andrews, Phil Andrews, Joe Andrews, Bill (Kim) Andrews, and Mary Andrews. Also loved by many nieces and nephews.
