Myron U. Trenne, age 75, of Brighton, passed away February 8, 2021. He was born on April 29, 1945 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota; son of Alfred and Edmee (nee Ellseth) Trenne. Myron graduated from Fergus Fall High School, class of 1963. He continued his education at General Motors Institute graduating with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. He then earned a master’s degree from University of Colorado. Myron was united in marriage to Karen A. Trenne on May 24, 1997; they spent 23 years lovingly devoted to one another.
Myron held executive roles at General Motors, TRW, Eaton, and Yazaki, he had a successful career for thirty plus years. He was the President of Trenne Engineering, LLC where he was constantly inventing and was always thinking outside the box. He held numerous patents because many of his inventions were essential to the automotive industry. One of his patents was a high-performance amphibious vehicle with retractable wheels. He was passionate about cars and loved everything from classic cars to electric vehicles.
Myron was an enthusiastic boater and loved being on the water. With Karen by his side, he traveled by boat throughout the Great Lakes; at one point piloting around the state, from Lake St. Clair to Grand Haven in Lake Michigan. He had a small pontoon on his property, where he fished with his grandchildren, bringing him great joy.
Myron and Karen loved to travel, venturing all over the world.
