Murilla A. Berryman-Pope

Age 75, of Livonia, formerly a longtime resident of Northville, passed away on December 11, 2019.  She was born on May 9, 1944 in Northville, Michigan; daughter of Charles and Margaret (nee Boughton) LeFevre.  She graduated from Northville High School; Class of 1962 and helped to organize class reunions for many years.  She continued her education at Ferris State University and Cleary College.  Murilla was united in marriage to George Berryman on December 23, 1966; they spent 20 years together until his death in February 16, 1987.  She found love again with Harold Pope, they were married June 9, 2002 for 14 years until his death on April 9, 2016.

Murilla worked as an office clerk for Ford Motor Company in Wixom for many years.  She later worked for RCO Technologies in Plymouth until retirement.  She was a long-standing member of First Baptist Church of Northville, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher, organized and taught Vacation Bible School, and sang with the church choir.  Murilla enjoyed decorating and loved her cats.  She was an incredibly devoted wife and took great care of her husbands.  She cherished the friendships she had and the memories she made with her friends Kay, Fern, and Pam from high school.

Murilla is survived by her cousin Nancy Brown; and her beloved friends, Richard and Kay Rowe, Susan Gardner, Fern Barber and Pam Correll.  She was preceded in death by her husband George Berryman, her husband Harold Pope, and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 217 North Wing Street, Northville on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11 a.m.  Murilla will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
