Michael A. Sayre, age 55, of Northville passed away October 17, 2021. He was born on September 19, 1966 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan; son of Arthur and Judith (nee Brent) Sayre. Michael graduated from Sahuaro High School in Tucson, Arizona; Class of 1984. He continued his education earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cleary University and a master’s degree from Lawrence Technological University. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Michael worked as an engineer for many years. He began his career as a contract employee with DaimlerChrysler before moving to an in-house position with Jeep. Following the 2008 economic crash, he pursued his master’s degree and began working as a project manager for IAC and Johnson Controls. Michael was a member of Bell Creek Community Church in Livonia. Dedicated to his faith, he recently participated in a men’s group bible study.
Michael was an avid bass fisherman and hosted many fishing nights for his friends. He liked to play golf and often participated in charity outings. A Jeep guy, he had many different models throughout the years. Michael was very social and loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed attending family parties and always brought laughs by playing jokes on those who were there. Michael adored dogs, especially Labrador Retrievers and Rottweilers. His current furry companions were his English Bulldog, Arthur and his Yellow Lab, Willie. Michael was a thoughtful and devoted father; he was always there for his girls and supported them in all their endeavors.
Michael is survived by his loving daughters, Tawwney Sayre and Kendra Sayre; his mother, Judy Sayre; and his brother David Sayre. He was preceded in death by his father.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a time of gathering beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Bell Creek Community Church, 30000 Five Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48154. He will be laid to rest in the Veteran section of Rural Hill Cemetery in Northville.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Bell Creek Community Church .
