Michael E. Rankin-Justice

Michael Lee Rankin-Justice, age 68, of Northville, passed away August 21, 2018.   He was born June 6, 1950 in Franklin, North Carolina; son of John Justice and Mary (nee Rankin) Justice.  He graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, North Carolina; Class of 1969.

Michael proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era where he was stationed in Korea.  Following his honorable discharge from the Army Michael re-enlisted with the Navy where he served in the Med Corp as a medical technologist for 18 years before retiring.

Michael was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Franklin, North Carolina.  He enjoyed watching movies, especially science fiction.  He was an avid reader and has a very impressive collection of rare and unique books.  He adored his dog Dodi who died a few years ago and recently got a new dog, Buddy, who was wonderfully faithful companion.

Michael is survived by his loving mother Mary Justice; his brother, Brian Justice; and his uncle, Bob (Jenny) Justice.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Justice.

Private family services will be held.
