Michael E. Nader

Michael E. Nader, age 93, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away on July 5, 2022. He was born on February 21, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan; son of Anthony and Kathryn (Polovich) Nader. Following his graduation from Catholic Central High School, Mike continued his education earning a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Wayne State University and a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Toronto.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a customer relations supervisor at Ford Motor Credit for 40 years, retiring in 1996. Mike, who had a strong faith, was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church since 1972. His devotion to God and the church was unconditional.

Mike was incredibly intellectual. An avid reader, he was a member of the Great Book Club. He also liked listening to music. Mike enjoyed travelling, especially to Europe with friends. He loved to entertain and hosted fantastic yearly parties for friends and family. Following retirement, he was living his best life and cherished the time he spent with family.

He is survived by his children, Anthony (Lisa) Nader, Michael J. (Colleen) Nader, and Andrea (Edward) Hardin; his sister Patricia Muscat; his grandchildren, Rowan Nader, Jacob Kroupa, Jessica Myers, Natalie Hardin, and Andrea Hardin; his great grandchildren, Theodore and Jacob, Jr.; and his nephews, Michael Muscat, Matthew Muscat, and Mose Muscat. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10am with visitation beginning at 9:30am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church , 133 Orchard Drive, Northville, MI 48167. Rev. Father Denis Theroux will officiate the service.
