Michael R. Bingham

Michael R. Bingham, age 69, of Farmington Hills, passed away suddenly on April 16, 2021. He was born February 29, 1952 in Northville, Michigan; son of Donald and Patricia (nee Gregory) Bingham. Mike attended Novi High School but decided to enlist in the United States Army before graduating. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

Mike was the owner and operator of Bingham’s Carpet Service, installing carpet meticulously for over 30 years. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed golfing. Annual fishing trips with his brother Greg to St. Helen was one of his favorite times of the year. When Mike was young, he liked playing baseball and softball. He was hilarious, making people laugh daily through his funny jokes and innovative vocabulary. Even though Mike served in the Army, he swore like a sailor. He liked playing poker and dominos. Mike was often found sitting outside listening to music. He was a dedicated and loving father, son, brother, and friend.

Mike is survived by his children, Jessy (Cory) King and Justin Devine; his father Don (Helen) Bingham; his sister Gay (Russ) Nichols; and his brother Gary (Dawn) Bingham. He is also loved by his nieces and nephews; Beth Mcquade, Samantha Messer (Jesse), Joey Michael Bingham (Willow) Kyle Nichols, and Jacob Mcquade. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Pat Bingham, his brother Greg Bingham and nephew Lance Michael Pohlman.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4pm until 7pm with a celebration of life beginning at 7pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Military honors will be rendered for his service in the United States Army.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation , 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306.
