Marjorie “Marge” Marie Bartone

A longtime resident of Walled Lake, Marge Bartone passed away on November 8, 2022 at 79 years of age. Marge was born on June 24, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan; the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Langley) Fortier. Marge was a 1961 graduate of Livonia Bentley High School.  She was united in marriage to Carl D. Bartone on November 25, 1961 and cherished their love and friendship for over 60 years.

Marge was a proud business owner, offering bookkeeping services to her customers for many years.  Marge always felt , however, that her most important purpose was being a homemaker and caring for her family. Marge had a home cooked meal ready for her family every night, that they enjoyed together. She was a loving, committed, and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. Marge adored her grandchildren and took great pride in making sure that her family and loved ones were encouraged, supported, and knew that they were loved.

In her younger years, Marge enjoyed knitting and crocheting; she made many gifts for her family and friends. As the years passed, Marge spent her free time relaxing in the evening with her husband Carl, watching television. If Marge had control over the remote, they would be watching science fiction and mystery shows. Marge also enjoyed spending time with her friends laughing, having fun, and playing cards, especially pinochle and euchre. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marge is survived by her husband Carl; her sons, Edward (Caryn) Bartone and David (Rhonda) Bartone; her grandsons, Evan (Robyn) Bartone, Brent Bartone, Ryan Bartone, and Tyler Bartone; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan, and Bella; and her brother Robert Fortier. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Patricia Mills.
