Louise M. Hall, age 91 of Northville, passed away on February 6, 2024. She was born in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania on July 18, 1932; daughter of Herman and Margaret (Stock) Michael.
Louise was united in marriage to John A. Hall on April 12, 1952; spending over 62 years devoted to each other until his death in 2014.
Louise graduated from Martinsburg High School, class of 1950. She continued her education at Penn State University where she earned an associate degree in journalism. Shortly after receiving her degree, Louise began her most rewarding career when she began her family. Raising six children with grace and determination, Louise's days were filled with the comforting rhythm of cooking, cleaning, and tending to the needs of her beloved family. Whether preparing hearty meals to nourish her loved ones, maintaining a warm and inviting home, or ensuring that every laundry basket was carefully tended to, Louise's commitment to her role as a homemaker was unwavering.
Louise found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in tending to her bountiful vegetable garden and nurturing her beautiful yard. An avid lover of the outdoors, Louise enjoyed staying active and healthy through her passion for walking and swimming. Together with her beloved husband John, she embraced the winter months in sunny Florida, basking in the warmth and creating treasured memories. Their shared love for adventure led them on countless cruises, including two journeys through the Panama Canal just so John could take the train excursion he missed on the first trip.
Above all else, Louise cherished her family. Her children and grandchildren were the heart and soul of her world, and she found immense joy in their presence. Her unwavering dedication and boundless love were a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Louise is survived by her children John (Maryann) Hall, Mark (Sharon) Hall, Matthew (Jane) Hall, Martin (Sue) Hall, Christina (William) Obermaier, and Caleb (Jeanette) Hall; her siblings Margaret England and David Michael; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 5 brothers and sisters.
