Lori Ellen Datson, age 41, resident of Taylor for the past 15 years, passed away on September 7, 2024. Born in Lansing, Michigan; daughter of Kirk and Sue Ellen (Barrix) Hooper, she grew up in Northville where she proudly graduated in 2000. Lori was united in marriage to William "Billy" Datson, III on September 24, 2011; they spent nearly 13 years lovingly devoted to one another.
Lori began her career as a Dental Assistant and with her strong organizational skills, determination and passion she steadily advanced to be the Logistics Coordinator for Reach out Healthcare America.
Lori was a passionate Detroit sports fan, with her love for Tigers baseball and the Detroit Lions second only to the love she had for Billy and the rest of her family. Lori loved spending time with her incredible friends and family shopping, camping, sporting events, musical trivia, boating, bonfires, orchard picking, and more. She made friends wherever she went as other wonderful people couldn't resist the gravitational force of her personality. These unexpected meetings regularly became lifelong friendships. Her dog, Khloe Ellen, brought her endless unconditional love and happiness. Khloe was Lori's constant sidekick and she sang to her every morning. Lori was an amazing friend, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and dog mom. Lori will be remembered for her gregarious personality as well as her passion and deep love.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, William "Billy" Datson, III; her father, Kirk Hooper; her brothers, Seth Hooper and Tyler (Tiffany) Hooper; her parents-in-law, William and Judith Datson, II; her siblings-in-law, Laura Hitchcock, Cheryl Walters, Judd (Lisa) Gardner, and Tim (Nicole Portis) Datson; and her nieces and nephews, Miles, Madison, Brenna, Colter, Henry, Randy, Brittany, Courtney, Amber, Lauren, Kayla, Tommy, Allysa, Danny, Audrey, Trinaty, and Tim, Jr. She was also loved by many aunts and uncles.
