Lenore P. Cerda, age 75 of Redford, passed away on May 20, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 11, 1944; daughter of Joseph and Agnes (nee Miller) Dienhart. Lenore was united in marriage to Raymond L. Cerda Jr. on February 2, 1970. They were devoted to each other for 32 years until his death on September 14, 2002. She has lived in Redford for 40 years.
Caring and compassion were only a few of the attributes that made Lenore a wonderful person. She worked as a crossing guard with the Redford Union Public Schools for 30 years. Lenore loved watching Law and Order. She was an avid reader who enjoyed the murder mysteries penned by James Patterson. When she was younger, she learned to play the accordion, an instrument that not many people can master. Lenore loved being with her family and spending time spoiling her grandchildren with love. She was a loving, giving, and calm wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
Lenore is survived by her children, Raymond (Lisa) Cerda III, Michelle Passariello, Victoria (William) Robertson, and Jennifer (Justin) Hardesty; her brother Ken Dienhart; and her grandchildren, Emelia, Karalina and Antonio Cerda; Jacqueline Passariello; Gabrielle and Colton Robertson; and Tavia Lenore Hardesty. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers George Dienhart and Peter Dienhart; and her sister Sharlene Arnison.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. A celebration of life will be held on August 8, 2020, please call Jennifer for more information.
