Kevin J. Ling

Kevin J. Ling, age 72, of Novi, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2021. He was born September 27, 1948, son of Waldo A. Ling and Catherine E. Keller.  Kevin graduated from Northville High School, class of 1966 and continued his education at Eastern Michigan University. Kevin proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Following the war, he continued his service in the Naval Reserves.

Kevin was an aircraft mechanic for Airworthy Aerospace for 13 years. He absolutely loved his profession and dedicated his life to this passion. He enjoyed being with family at Sunday dinners at his brother’s house. The dinner topic was usually about the thrill of finding the best deal and where Kevin found it. He was a devoted son, a great brother, and a caring uncle.

Kevin is survived by his nephews and niece, Barry (Pupae) Prom, Linda (Russ) Garcia, and Brian (Carol) Prom. He is also loved by several great nieces, great nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob Prom.  Kevin will be laid to rest at Rural Hill Cemetery next to his parents.
