Kathlene C. Boonstra

Kathlene C. Boonstra, age 70, a longtime resident of Milford, passed away on January 31, 2019.  She was born November 1, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan; daughter of Richard and Mary Wright.  She was united in marriage to Ronald W. Boonstra on April 4, 1970; devoted to each other for over 48 years.

Kathlene created beautiful quilts and was an avid MAHJONGG player. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and socializing with her friends. Kathlene loved spoiling her granddaughters. She was a wonderful and kind-hearted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband Ron; her sons, Martin (Keun-Hae Lee) Boonstra and Matthew (Ashley) Boonstra; her granddaughters, Yunji Boonstra and Lola Boonstra; her step-mother Marnie Wright; and her brothers, Brian (Liliana) Wright and Bruce Wright. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 801 East Commerce Street, Milford, MI 48381. A celebration of Kathlene’s life will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 from Noon until 3:00 pm at Baker’s of Milford, 2025 South Milford Road, Milford, MI 48381
