John was a member of Fatboy Jeepers of Indiana and spent countless hours jeeping.  He  had an extensive gun collection and liked target shooting and hunting.  He enjoyed fishing for anything he could hook in a boat or from the shore.  John was incredibly generous with his time and loved to help people.  Often accused of over volunteering he was always willing to help a friend in need.  Known as a “jack of all trades”, John was adventurous and always willing to try anything.  He was always up for a challenge and liked to do what others said could not be done.   He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and was a part of a motorcycle club for numerous years.  One that his kids grew up in, riding on the backs of everyone's bikes.  He also enjoyed snowboarding.  When his children were younger, they spent weekends racing RC cars; he also served as a boy scout leader.  Recently, John spent time traveling to the SEMA shows in Las Vegas and his favorite destinations of Hawaii and Sedona, Arizona.   He was a great cook and had a special talent for grilling and smoking.   An avid reader, he preferred books by Tom Clancy.  John loved his dog, Micco Sig and his cat, Trouble.  He adored his grandchildren and cherished the time they spent together.  John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; he will be missed by all who loved him.

John is survived by his loving wife, Connie E. Wegge; his children, John (Tracy) Walker, III, Jessica Walker, and Ashley (Michael) D’Angelo; his grandchildren; Isabella, Peyton, and Owen; and his siblings, Rick Walker, Cathy Green, Tammy Brown, and Joe (Julie) Walker.  He was preceded in death by his father John Walker; his stepmother, Margaret Walker; his mother, Mary Ann Tanner; and his sister, Merry Williams.
