John W. Sanders

John W. Sanders, age 79, longtime resident of Livonia, passed away on July 23, 2020. He was born December 6, 1940 in Belleville, Michigan; son of Harry and Drusilla (nee Feemster) Sanders.  John spent his childhood in Northville, graduating from Northville High School in 1959.  Following high school, he proudly served his country in the Army Reserves.

John worked as a machine operator with Ford Motor Company for 37 years.  He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Oscoda.  John also enjoyed fishing.  He was an avid Lions fan and a season ticket holder for 40 years.  John was very loyal and great brother.  He loved his family and always did whatever he could for them.

John is survived by his loving brothers, Harry (Arlene) Sanders and Jim Sanders; and his nieces, Stacey Cox and Katy Naughton.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Katherine Sanders.

The family will be having a graveside service at a later date.  He will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.  During this difficult time, please make sure to reach out to the family by leaving your thoughts online, with a card or a phone call.
