John R. Pinion

John R. Pinion Jr.

Age 71, recently of Wayne, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2021. He was born on June 29, 1950 in West Virginia; son of John and Eugenia (nee Faulkner) Pinion. John grew up in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School, class of 1968. He was united in marriage to Cynthia A. Atchison on October 7, 1972; they celebrated 49 years of marriage.

For over 20 years John worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver moving new cars from the manufacturers to the dealerships; he retired in 1990. He had a gregarious personality and was very quick-witted. John enjoyed shooting pool and playing cards; poker was his favorite and he played often with friends and co-workers. He liked watching old westerns, especially shows and movies starring John Wayne. John was a compassionate, funny, and determined husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

John is survived by his wife Cynthia; his daughter Bobbie (Redd Arcuri) Pinion; his daughter-in-law Debbie Pinion; his grandchildren, Rebecca Leschinski, Ashley Pinion, Shelby (Melvin Ulshafer) Angilley, Nick Angilley, Amber Pinion, and Nicole Pinion; and his great grandchildren Dawn and Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Troy Pinion, his brother William Pinion, and his grandson-in-law Joe Leschinski.
