Jitendra T. Parkih, age 75, a longtime resident of Northville, passed away January 22, 2019. He was born on July 18, 1943 in Ahmedabad, India; son of Trilokchandra and Lila Parkih. He was united in marriage to Nayana Shah on January 24, 1971; they were lovingly dedicated to each other for 48 years.
Jitendra graduated from LD Engineering College. Continuing his education, he received his Masters Degree from Brigham Young University in 1968 and his Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University in 1972. He was an Engineer with Ford Motor Company for 35 years.
Jitendra was an athlete who truly enjoyed playing all types of sports from table tennis to golf. He loved playing card games with friends and would often share his strategy with his competitors. Jitendra liked being outdoors. It didn’t matter if he was working in the garden or shoveling snow he just loved being outside. He was an avid listener who appreciated conversations with others. Jitendra wanted the best for his family and supported his family in following their dreams. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and an indulgent grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife Nayana; his children, Parag (Michelle) Parikh and Kajal Parikh; his siblings, Jyotsana (Kirti) Shah, Hansa (Mukund) Shah, and Nalin (Aarti) Parikh; and his grandchildren, Ronak Parikh and Adelina Parikh. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Shirish Parikh and his sister-in-law Surekha Parikh.
