Holly M. Evans

Holly M. Evans, age 56, longtime resident of South Lyon, passed away July 7, 2019. She was born on March 14, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio; daughter of Robert McGregor and Mary Lou (nee Sass) Mair.  Holly attended Canton High School in Canton, Michigan in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.  She was devoted to God and had been baptized last year.

Holly worked for Trijicon in Wixom for 13 years.  She was a hard worker and a wonderful employee.  She was much appreciated by her team leads and supervisors.  Holly was an active volunteer with the Plymouth/Canton Civitan Club; she participated with many of their projects including Special Olympics, candy boxes, and raffle ticket sales.  She was an ardent supporter of the St. Andrew’s Society of Detroit and all of its endeavors.

Holly loved travelling and taking trips with her family.  She recently crossed whale watching off her bucket list with her sister, Kyle.  She was an avid movie watcher, with Doris Day movies being her favorite.  She enjoyed bowling, with her sister Susie.  Holly was a terrific neighbor to the people living in her complex and was always willing to help them out.

Holly is survived by her loving siblings, Scott Mair, Kyle Kiley, Amanda Mair, Cori Hall, and Susan (Mike) Tower; her nieces and nephews, Karen Kiley, Kevin Kiley, Robyn Kiley, Ross Mair, Alec Mair, Lucas Tower, Will Tower, and Liam Tower; her great niece, Lily; and her fur babies, poodle Dancer and cats Tink and Nina. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A time of gathering will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon with a Memorial Service at Noon at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 W. Dunlap, Northville.  Rev. Michael Horlocker from First Presbyterian Church of South Lyon will officiate the service.
