Harold F. Pratt, age 94, a longtime resident of Novi, passed away April 24, 2020. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 9, 1925; son of Thomas and Emma (nee Haisch) Pratt. Harold proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage to Gloria L. Biddinger on September 19, 1942; dedicated to one another for over 71 years until her death in 2013.
Harold started out as a Tool Maker at Valeron Corporation, then went on to become Shop Superintendent until his retirement at Valeron. Retiring young gave him time to enjoy his family and his favorite activities like hunting and travelling. Harold was active at Abbey Park in New Hudson, where he lived since 2010. He was a member of the AMVETS at Abbey Park and was on the wii bowling league where he claimed many of the championship trophies. Harold was a loving and compassionate husband. He was a very patient father and grandfather.
Harold is survived by his children; Lon (Carol) Pratt, Kandi Bunker, Jeff (Denise) Pratt, Amee (Bob) Sharpe, Trudi (Bob) Ellwart, and Troy Pratt; his sister Bunny Arini; his brother-in-laws, Sam Arini and Don Biddinger; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his infant brother Thomas Pratt, his sister Lorraine Arini, his brother-in-law Carlo Arini, and his son-in-law Richard “Bunk” Bunker.
