Elizabeth J. Selinske

Elizabeth J. Selinske, age 95, of Northville, passed away October 26, 2018. She was born on November 1, 1922 in Kingston, Michigan; daughter of Alfred and Sarah (nee Hunt) Walls.  She graduated from Kingston High School; Class of 1940.  Elizabeth was united in marriage to Richard J. Selinske on June 8, 1955. They were devoted to one another for over 63 years.

Elizabeth was a wonderful cook and was always trying new recipes. She made delicious baked goods, which were always from scratch.  Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful flowers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travelling. Her favorite places she visited were Hawaii, Canadian Rockies, and the Alaskan Cruise she took. Elizabeth adored her family, she loved spending time with them, especially at holiday gatherings.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband Richard; her children Janet (Ronald) Plawecki, Julie (John) Awkerman, and Nancy (James) Biel; her grandchildren, Bryan (Aimee) Plawecki, Steven (Erin) Plawecki, Brandon Awkerman, Jason Awkerman, Kathryn (Evan) Slawski, and Jennifer Biel; and her great grandson, Cayden Plawecki.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother John Walls.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 from 9am until 11am with a memorial service beginning at 11am at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. Rev. James Russell will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park.
