Dorothy L. Homrich

Passed away on June 6, 2020, at the age of 88, in Ocala, Florida. She was born on January 23, 1932 in Northville, Michigan; daughter of Roy and Jennie (nee Miller) Kehrl. Dorothy was united in marriage to Thomas L. Homrich on June 1, 1963; married for 57 years. She was born, raised and raised her family in Northville in the same house she grew up in. She moved to Ocala, Florida in 2000.

Dorothy was a 1950 graduate of Northville High School. Upon graduation Dorothy worked at a bakery in downtown Northville but when the opportunity arose, she became a bank teller with Manufacturer’s Bank in Northville. She moved to Grand Rapids to work at Old Kent Bank until she met and married the love of her life, Tom. Once they began a family she decided to stay home and raise her children.

Dorothy was devoted to her faith and sharing her love of God with others. Together with her husband they developed Touching Lives Compassionately, spreading the word of God to many homes. Dorothy had the gift of remembering her family and friends on their special days. Due to macular degeneration she did not travel but loved to watch and listen to the travel channel.
