Doreen M. Errickson

Doreen M. Errickson, age 75, recently of Northville, Michigan, formerly a longtime resident of Morris Plains, New Jersey, passed away August 10, 2023.  She was born on November 14, 1947 in Glenridge, New Jersey; daughter of Albert and Marie (Riordan) Mehrbach.  Doreen was united in marriage to William Errickson on May 16, 1970; they spent 41 years devoted to one another until his death on September 12, 2011.

Prior to having her son, Doreen worked as an accountant.  When he was born, she stopped working to become a dedicated homemaker and focus on her family.  Later in life, she went back to work for Carmel Hill Fund which is a nonprofit organization promoting literacy in Harlem.

Doreen loved to walk and would often walk several miles each day.  She was a news junkie and kept up to date on current events.  She also closely followed advancements in the medical field.  One of her favorite hobbies was antiquing.  Doreen enjoyed hunting for treasures at garage sales, estate sales, and flea markets.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be missed by all who loved her.

Doreen is survived by her loving son, Josh (Nora) Errickson; her grandchildren, Maximilian, Arthur, and Phoebe; her brother, Stephen (Nancy) Mehrbach; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sisters, Joyce Ruane and Marilyn Hamilton.

She will be laid to rest with her husband in a private ceremony at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland, NJ.
