Donald A. Danald, age 75, of Northville, passed away July 10, 2019. He was born July 10, 1944 in Mongomery, Alabama; son of George and Madeleine (nee Menzel) Danald. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Donald was united in marriage to Jeanne A. Danald on January 23, 1999; they spent 18 loving years together until her death on November 28, 2017.
Donald attended University of Maryland where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in microbiology. He worked in the medical field as a microbiologist for many years, most recently Rockwell Medical. Following retirement, he volunteered with AARP helping people do their taxes.
Donald was a talented painter; his medium was mostly oil painting that he used to paint beautiful landscapes. He was active with the Northville Art House where some of his work was on exhibit. He loved food, was an amazing cook, and had a sweet tooth that he satisfied each morning with a cinnamon roll. A world traveler, Donald spoke 3 languages, English, Spanish, and French. He was a history buff and an avid reader with a very large library of his own. Donald was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Northville.
Donald is survived by his loving children, Daisy (Gilbert) Castillo and Emilio Danald; and his grandchildren, Elena, Audrey, and Madeline. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his sister Dawn Kough.
Private services will be held.
