Don A. Stout

January 6, 1954 — April 23, 2021

Donnie A. Stout, Jr., age 67, of Northville, passed away suddenly on April 23, 2021.  He was born on January 6, 1954 in Northville, Michigan; son of Donnie and Beatrice (nee Brown) Stout.

Don, also known as Junior, was born in Northville, and has lived all his life in either Northville or Livonia. He worked as a laborer for Ford Motor Company for 37 years; he retired in 2005. His duties included but were not limited to working on the line, assembling parts, driving a Hi-Lo, and driving a Tug. Don was dedicated to his job at Ford and was proud of his accomplishments.

Don was a member of the Northville Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing pool, throwing darts, dancing, and roller skating; always active and adventurous. He was an avid bowler, spending many nights bowling in leagues with family and friends. Don was full of life and loved to have fun with family and friends. His contagious laugh and his outgoing personality made him the life of the party and someone everyone connected with. For his 66 th birthday, he wanted to go roller skating with his grandchildren, and he did. When he smiled, he smiled with his whole face and would brighten everyone’s day.

Don’s passion for motorcycles and cars went beyond tinkering. He liked to take them apart and put them back together for fun; Don customized many motorcycles and cars. Even new motorcycles were subject to his customizing. He would help anyone who needed help without a question. Don was an awesome, fun, and loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather (David) Speier and Jo Anna (Jonathan) Demeter; his siblings, Jane Hard, Gwen Wilson, Gary (Charlene) Stout, Brian Stout, and Michael (Patty) Stout; his grandchildren, Lilly and Leah Speier and Jorja and Jamison Demeter; and his companion and best friend Betty Burkacki. Don was preceded in death by his father Donnie; his mother Bea who passed away on April 25, 2021; and his sisters Sherylynn Respondek and Nita Spencer.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held in the Summer, details will be updated. Please reach out to the family during this difficult time to share memories of Don. Memorial contributions can be made to the VFW Auxiliary Post 4012, 438 S. Main Street, Northville, MI 48167.
