Dolly I. Cook

Dolly I. Cook (Clark), age 89, longtime resident of Northville, passed away on July 20, 2022. She was born on December 2, 1932 in Cloquet, Minnesota; daughter of John and Pearl (Murray) Clark. Dolly graduated from Northville High School; Class of 1950.

Dolly worked at Burroughs in Plymouth for 25 years. She retired in 1977 from the computer chip assembly department, after performing many different jobs for the company. Following her retirement, she and her husband travelled all over the world to many exotic locations.

Dolly was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Northville, a life member of the Northville VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Northville Moose Lodge. An avid card player, she especially liked to play euchre, pinochle, and Texas hold ‘em. Dolly was incredibly social and played with many different card groups at organizations throughout the area. She loved to play bingo as well as try her luck at the casino. She also loved to sing and dance. Dolly owned thoroughbred horses which she raced at Northville Downs and would occasionally win. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. She cherished all the time spent playing cards, celebrating, and going out to eat. Dolly was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Dolly is survived by her loving children, Colleen (Gerald) Norkooli, Sheree (Robert) Marino, Cathy (Carl) Baker, and Dean (Micca) Myers; her grandchildren, Christopher Marino, Samuel (Brittany) Marino, Jessica Marino, Jason Myers, Brittany (Nate) Jenkins, Christopher (Holly) Baker, and Trisha McCloud; her great grandchildren, Landon, Hannah, Milo, Finley, Hailey, Jourdan, Jada, and Sadie; her sister, Maxine Lapham; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Jackie Myers, her parents, and her sister Evelyn Graham.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11am until 1pm with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1pm at Casterline Funeral Home, 122 West Dunlap, Northville. She will be laid to rest with her parents at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.
